The poetry of Hafiz Shirazi, Saadi and Omar Khayyam reverberates in the classes held by the Persian Department which comprises a faculty of meritorious scholars of this Indo-Aryan language. A few of the faculty members have been working in collaboration with the Khana-e-Farhang-e-Iran on several joint projects on Persian language and literature.
